Very close walk to Main St, very convenient.

We had a wonderful time in Galena this past weekend and the accommodations were wonderful! Close to everything; within walking distance to Main St. Yes, there are stairs involved both in the house and going to Main St., my sister with a knee replacement did just fine on both fronts. The home is beautiful, very clean, roomy & comfy beds, nice shower. Kitchen accommodations are excellent. We'll definitely stay here again on another trip. Highly recommend!!

We enjoyed this home from the moment we got there. There was plent of space for the 6 of us. The character of the home was wonderful. Enjoyed the chilly nights after walking main street, in front of the fireplace. Every room was clean and had plenty of coverings. The location of the home was perfect. Just one block away from main street. Very quaint neighborhood. The rooms were described as queen beds, but they did feel more like double beds but still comfy. There were plenty of towels provided in the bathroom. We enjoyed several downtown activities especially the Holidaze Feztival which was lovely. There were wonderful fireworks in the evening. I want just acknowledge that the property manager went above and beyond for us. We had a situation that we needed assistance with and the property manage was nothing but gracious and helpful and understanding. We appareciated this more than you know. That one situation stood above everything else. We can't thank you enough for not only a wonderful experience at the rental but the customer service we received. We will definetly be back and we definetly will recommend this location to others. THANK YOU!

This is the 4th year we have rented this home. It’s in the perfect location to shop and dine! The quaint feel of the home is pretty special as well.

I stayed here for a girls trip with my former college roommates. We could not have been happier with the location and the house! It was extremely clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It's a block from downtown, so it is in walking distance to everything. We had a wonderful time!

The Bench St house was a perfect place for our family to stay while in town celebrating our daughter's wedding. The wedding reception was held at Turner Hall (directly across the street) which made it very convenient for setup, the day of the wedding and then enjoying time in the downtown area (one block walk) for the remainder of the weekend. The house was clean and the decor great for pictures as the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready for the special occasion. In the early morning hours we enjoyed a cup of coffee on the back screened in porch. In the evening hours it was a gathering place for family and friends. The vinyl record player and selection of records was hit in our family as we have many musicians and music lovers. Thank you for the use of your home which will be part of the special occasion memories of our daughter and new husband's wedding for years to come.

We had an amazing experience staying at this Airbnb. Very cute home, well kept and clean. Location is incredible- we walked everywhere we went! Street parking was no problem and the spots on the street are nice and big so it was easy to park a larger suv. Loved our stay. Highly recommend.

We rented this place for a girls weekend - and it did not disappoint! Super central for Main Street shopping and dining. Comfortable and clean. It had every amenity you needed for a fun weekend away with friends! My friends and I said we would definitely recommend this to others.

What a great place to stay! This house had everything we needed and was centrally located to downtown. We enjoyed playing games out on the screened in porch! We would definitely stay again!

We had a fabulous time. The house was clean and the patio was a huge plus. The walking distance from downtown was so convenient. We will definitely go back again. We love Galena.

This house is so thoughtfully put together! It was perfect for our family with kids. It is an older house with an old steeper staircase to the second floor, so may not be the best for very young kids. There were so many fun amenities, like a record player and records, a neat drum, nesting dolls, etc. The staff were super responsive to questions through their easy-to-use app. The house is in an amazing location! So close to tons of restaurants, shops, and historic sites. The screened in porch on the back was lovely and kept the mosquitoes away in the evenings. The grill was so nice. The beds were comfy. We will definitely be staying here again! My only suggestion to this property would be to get better wifi. We had issues connecting multiple devices to it, but cell signal was strong there so we just tethered instead.

What an amazing house! It was so clean - one of the cleanest rentals we’ve stayed in. The history was fascinating, it was very comfortable, and it was in the perfect location to enjoy Galena without the stress of parking! The screened deck on the back of the house is the perfect place to sit and chat over coffee in the morning or drinks at night. 100% would recommend.

Overall the house was very clean, roomy and such a great location just a block off the main street in Galena. One thing I would suggest the owner do is to replace the lock on the door. It was easy to retrieve the key from the lockbox, however it took quite a bit of time to get the door to unlock.

Great location, close to Main street and shopping. House is clean, well-maintained and supplied with guide books for exploration ideas outside of town. Wifi, TV provide all the comforts of home.

My rental experience was exceptional. As a 1st time Airbnb user, the process of checking in was very easy and pleasant. This rental had such a convenient location and it truly made my trip to Galena as memorable as it could be.

We have been staying Galena for ten years now. We have been at all different times of the year, but winter seems to be the time when we go the most. We have stayed in the territory and in town. This was our first year staying on Bench St. You CANNOT beat this location. You are a block and a half from Main St. and if you get lucky enough, you can even park right outside the front door. The house itself is somewhat misleading. I thought it would be a cramped stay for four people (even though it's a three bedroom), but much to my surprise there is a ton of room. A large dining area, the kitchen is a good size, and all the bedrooms surprisingly large for a house built in 1837. One major attraction of Galen is the history, and you get a lot of it with this house. You definitely know you are staying in a historical home, but it also has all the updates and amenities you could want. We did not have any problem with heat, hot water, efficiencies of any kind, or any other issues that might accompany an older home. The home was extremely clean with fresh paint in most of the rooms. So while you felt the history of the building, you didn't feel like it was old. I would recommend this house to anyone going to Galena for a social trip, shopping, bars, restaurants, or events at Turner Hall.Working with Linda is always a pleasure. We have never worked with any other rental company, b&b or hotel in the area. We see no reason to stray from perfection. We will definitely be going back to Galena and to this beautiful house on Bench St.

We stayed here with our 2 kids and had a great time. Booking and getting into the house was super easy. The house has a great layout and includes everything you need. The location can't be any better. Both kids are insisting we go back and stay in the same house.

I generally do not write reviews, but I wanted to point out that there is a knot hole in the floor of the balcony/porch, and through it, hornets were entering the screened off area. I stuffed a napkin in the hole to keep the hornets out, but a more permanent solution should be found.

I recommend this rental company, all was as described check in and out was easy. The house was impeccably clean! We loved the location, I wouldn't stay else where. We especially loved the extra touches like drinking water, coffee machine, full kitchen. The furnishings were beautiful, no details left behind. Thank you!

We recently rented for a girl's weekend. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. We parked the car and didn't need to move it until we left.

This was the perfect place for my girls and I to stay the night before my wedding and get ready the next day. The ultimate convenience was that my venue was literally across the street. The owners were so incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the process of renting it. My husband and I went in before our reception to gather my things and he said it was the perfect space in Galena to live! We loved every minute of it and hope to return one day!

House was in the perfect location and decorated beautifully that matched with the history of Galena. The record player and back porch added to the experience. We would definitely stay here again.

This property is only a block off of Main Street so once our cars were parked, we never had to use them again until we left. Home was very clean and perfect for 3 couples. Coffee and water were provided. Back screened in porch was great for sitting out at nighttime or having coffe out there in the morning.

We went for my sister’s bachelorette party and we had the best time! The property is adorable and so spacious! We had a big group of girls and it never once felt crowded! We stayed in and played games the first night and there was plenty of room. The only downside is there is only one shower if you do have the full capacity, but it was never really a huge issue for us. They were so well stocked providing bottled water, coffee and other kitchen essentials. I did end up calling Linda for one question and she couldn’t have been sweeter and more helpful! Asking us if we were enjoying our stay and wanted to be sure we did! I would recommend this rental to anyone!

My sisters and I stayed at the Bench Street home and a wonderful time. The home was immaculate and so very cozy! We were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Even went to Mass at St. Michael’s across the street. The house was even supplied with cases of water and k-cups! Can’t say enough about how nice it was.

Could not have chosen a better home for our trip to Galena! Location was perfect - 1 block from the main strip of restaurants and shops. We fell out the front door and were steps from everything we wanted to do. The home was spotless and extremely comfortable. Each of three bedrooms had a ceiling fan, ample pillows and blankets and a tv with cable/OnDemand. There was also an electric fan which is always nice to have. We really appreciated the complimentary coffee and bottled water as well. My only suggestion would be to provide more than one key in case guests want to do different things and don't want to worry about coordinating return times. We had a wonderful trip to Galena and were so glad we stayed here!

We chose this house based on location to Main St for a girls weekend. The home was amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms were spacious, The house was extremely clean and inviting, there was plenty of room in the living room that welcomed conversation, and the kitchen had more than enough amenities to make us feel like we were in our own home. I cannot say enough about the location! Being right up the hill from where all of the action was, made this girls weekend effortless! We are already talking about coming back! Management laid out the directions for us very clearly, and utilizing that app was even better. Management called to make sure we were OK, answered emails very timely.

Pleasantly surprised that such an old home was in Great Shape !! It was very clean, and was well stocked, toliet paper, coffee filters, cleaning supplies, etc. The Best Location, a block from Main Street.

What a wonderful home and so convenient for everything! We so loved the screened in porch. Great conversation area! Only one suggestion is to put in a coffee pot verses single pod maker! Grest stay though!

There were 7 of us at Bench street. We loved many things about the house that was built in the 1850's. The old radiant water heat, some of the old round light switches, lots of character. All the bedrooms were large with nice beds, even the blow up was nice for a blow up and fit well in the study. Having just one full bath was never really a problem, however no one took a long shower. We could have found a fancier place in the territory but the convenience of being so close to main street was well worth it. We did not have to worry about cab calls and fees. The kitchen was well equipped, I cooked for everyone our first night there, we even played Apples to Apples. I hope to stay here in Galena again.

We were very impressed with the well stocked bottled water supply. Loved the location. Charm and characteristics of this home were wonderful. Easy parking.
