Property was great, very clean, plenty of supplies to use.

Lots of room that allowed everyone their own space while providing family time. Proximity to trails and a short drive to the clubhouse was a bonus.

The house was very spacious and clean with all the amentities we needed. Our group gets together once a year and this home fit our needs. We appreciated the detailed instructions and garbage cans so we did not have to take the trash to the garbage site as in past years. Thank you so much!

Great house and location for a family getaway with our adult children and our grandchild. We made use of the fire pit, the hot tub, pool table, nearby trails, and pool at the owner’s club. Loved having four bedrooms each with their own bathroom and the ability to bring our dog.

Excellent rental for our family of 7! Great quiet street, plenty of space, and super clean! We enjoyed a perfect working hot tub and used the comfortable screen house the most. Beds and linens were comfy and plenty of accessories in the kitchen made things easy. It's easy to see how well the owners of this rental care for their home and guests. Not a criticism but merely a suggestion would be for some non slip grips on the beautiful hardwood stairs and the shower floors. But this rental is a definite gem. Also it was equally wonderful communicating with Linda. She was super helpful and great to work with.

This is the second year we stayed at this house. Nice setup for three families. Love using the hot tub. Nice that we can bring our dog. Just be aware of the people across the street, they may tell you to not let your dog do anything on their yard (happened to us both years). We always pick up after our dog.

This is one of our favorite homes we have stayed in. The layout was perfect and spacious. We really enjoyed the trail by the home and even got to see horses go by. We will definitely stay here again!

It was very good. I sentnyhe owner a few suggestions that could be added to the home. Overall it was very comfy,homey, more than we expected. Owner was very prompt when we texted her. Great place.

Nice place to stay. Good space for 5 of us. Enjoyed the screen room and hot tub. Could easily spend a week in this house. Good proximity to downtown Galena. Working with the manager was easy. I would highly recommend Talisman Lodge for any gathering! We stayed there for a girls birthday weekend and had the best time! The house is amazing & we had a fantastic time. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to be comfortable. We were not disappointed!! Will definitely be back!

We rented this house for an extended weekend and were sad when the time ended. We all enjoyed the place and a huge plus for us was having a bathroom for each bedroom. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything you would need for a perfect stay. We would definitely recommend this house to others.

The Talisman home was great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were many things we brought that we didn’t need because they were already there (large beach towels, lots of seasonings, wide assortment of baking dishes, wine opener, etc)! The beds were comfy, rooms were large and the layout was perfect for our family needs.

It was a great location for us to have our family Christmas! The perfect number of beds and baths to accommodate our family. It snowed the entire day so that was beautiful. Would love to go explore town more on our next visit.

We hiked the trail that goes right by the house, enjoyed the hot tub, and the beautiful spaces within the house and even the screened porch with the mild weather! Some things need to be fixed/updated but overall the house was comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The management company was helpful.

We were thrilled with Talisman Lodge!! My family of 9 total, 3 couples, 3 children, had a wonderful time and enjoyed the property so much! The 3 levels of bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, was perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the common areas together and had our own private space when needed. Linda was so kind to let us check in early so I could prepare for the rest of my gang. We all enjoyed the pool table and games downstairs and the front room wood burning fireplace. It was so cozy and comforting, the whole place is lovely and very clean. The kitchen is so well stocked with dishes, glassware and pots and pans. The flow of the home is perfect for spending time together while large enough to spread out. We loved the place so much, we want to come back in warmer weather so we can enjoy more outside activities. The fire pit and the hot tub were a big draw for me when I rented, but with 3 young children who wanted our attention all waking hours, we didn't have a chance to enjoy. Next time! Some of us did go to the Owners Club for some indoor pool fun, and we visited the local general store for some food we'd forgotten to bring. The place is outside of Galena more than I expected, however, it was perfect for privacy yet felt completely safe! Thank you again, Linda, for letting us in early and a little later check out! I would definitely recommend Talisman Lodge to all my friends.

House was great

This was a perfect girls getaway. Great location and private, quiet neighborhood surrounded by trees. Loved sitting in the screened porch for morning coffee. Nice outdoor areas to sit and eat or have a fire too. We would definitely go back!

This house is great for multi family trips. Lots of room to spread out. The patio and screened in porch were great. Lots of windows for natural light. Everyone has their own bathroom which is a big plus. The men enjoyed the jacuzzi. The yard needed alittle work, lots of weeds and grass was really long.

Family vacation in Galena was great. The house was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need and grill was very clean. Our granddaughters loved the pooltable. We played pool every night. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our 3rd time staying at this rental. Works perfect for our family to meet here to celebrate a long weekend. The house works great for the adults and grandkids! Spacious, easy access to local attractions, clean and well maintained and stocked for guests. It is the "big house" the kids look forward to each year!

Overall nice getaway

Very nice place! We were surprised at how dog friendly the place was. They had dog bowls set up for our dogs and leashes set up outside too! Kitchen was great with lots of dishes and a great stove for cooking! Would definitely stay there again!

The place was clean, and had lots to do at the house and the owners club as well. As it was raining we couldn't do the hiking we wanted so the indoor swimming pool at the owners club was great. We also played ping pong there. But also at the house were board games and a pool table and with galena nearby it was perfect. Our dog was comfortable too! I would recommend this place.

The home was a perfect fit for us. I appreciate the little things it offered such as room darkening curtains (I typically travel with my own set) and tissues in the bathrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with what we needed and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We will definitely be back!

Stayed at this rental with family members and met up with other family members as well. This rental worked out great for the 8 of us from ages 8 to 69 plus our dog. Rental had everything we needed and we would definitely consider staying there again. Used the hot tub and nearby walking trail as well.

Property was great. Everything was clean and the property was in great shape. Great location close to the General Store and to the golf courses. Dog friendly, even has bowls set out for our pup which was very nice. The only downside was that there was a small bulldozer and a mountain of dirt outside the house so parking was difficult. And the fire pit was still under construction so we were unable to use it. I’m sure once complete this won’t be an issue. Also the kitchen has no cooking ingredients, like salt or cooking oil, so just be sure to bring that along or you’ll need to run to the grocery store to grab those things. Otherwise, the property was great. Would definitely recommend for a larger family or group! We had three families with 6 kids running around and it never felt cramped.

The home on Talisman place was in a great location, nice kitchen and bedroom/bathroom spaces and we enjoyed the screened in porch several mornings and evenings
The outside space could use a little attention. The deck needed stained, grill was aged and the hot tub was not as clean as we expected and the cover was in poor condition.
The location was quiet and easy to get to Galena. we enjoyed the shops and restaurants and wineries in Galena and had a great time together.

We have stayed in the Eagle Ridge area at various homes. This one was our favorite. The 3 different levels the bedrooms were on were perfect for a multi family situation as each bedroom had its own bathroom. The screened in porch was awesome, we used it a lot and it was in the perfect location in the house. The kitchen was one of the best as far as having everything we needed during our stay and the appliances were also in great condition. Being a pet friendly house was a must for us as we always travel with our pets. The firepit that was added was nice and placed in a good location on the property. The owners supplied some nice extras for us to use, such as beanbags and boards and some board games. They even left a supply of beach towels in a basket near the back downstairs door that led out to the hot tub. My only suggestion would be to change out the downstairs bed from a full bed to at least a queen bed. It was too small for 2 adults to sleep comfortably.

We have rented this home for a couple years now and meet up with our 2 daughters and families. The kids fondly call this home the big house. It is a perfect fit for all. We have a family upstairs, us on the middle floor and another downstairs. The screened in porch is awesome to play games with the littles or relax as adults. Location is perfect next to hiking trails and easy access to marina and pool. Rental is easy, home is clean and well stocked kitchen. We will be back.

Every year the family gets together for a long weekend and the Talisman Lodge was perfect! We all enjoyed all of the amenities at the house and while we brought many extra's (towels for the hot tub, large coffee maker) we found we didn't need to as everything was provided.
We will definitely stay at the same location again and will add an extra night!

Beautiful area and this house made for a great stay. Plenty of room to spread out and easy to find. Easy check in / check out process. Very impressed!

Relaxing getaway weekend with close friends. Rental home & amenities met expectations as listed on website. Clean and plenty of room to unwind and hot tub big plus. Just a few issues. Downstairs fireplace hard to start & just used upstairs. And recommend few lights turned for guests arriving after dark. Other than that highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time. The place was super clean, they had dog bowls and dog beds for our dog, they were extremely easy to work with, they were clearly very organized - their instructions on entering and check-out were thorough and easy to follow. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back again!

We enjoyed the spacious and well-equipped house to celebrate a birthday. We were able to cook nice meals, go on walks along the trails, and enjoy the house inside and out.

This home worked great for our family of 4 generations. We enjoyed being out of town as our goal was to get together and spend some family time eating, playing games, and visiting. We chose this home as it had enough beds, bathrooms, and allowed our puppy. The kitchen was filled with plenty of dishes, silverware, and pans. Unfortunately there was no place to store the food we had for 4 days and 9 people. (there is a locked pantry cabinet) We ended up having food all over the counters which gave us little work space. Greatgrandma and the kids loved the swing in the back yard! We did not use the club house facilities due to Covid issues , weather, and the amount of time we stayed.

This rental was offered to us due to another rental cancelling our reservations. This was a blessing in disguise as this home offered more space for our little ones and adults to move around yet be together. Our favorite place was the screened in porch with coffee in the morning or kids playing games. The home was well kept not to cluttered. Kitchen nicely stocked and organized for easy find. Thank you for the extra games as they came in handy when quiet time was needed. Hot top a hit and thank you for the extra beach towels as that is a nice touch. The home is located right off a hiking path which is a hit with this family. Close to owners club and marina. A definite stay again. The property management was excellent to work with.

This is a nice house that’s in a nice and quiet area. We were looking to get away and relax and this house is perfect. Everything was clean and in good working condition. Everyone we dealt with was very nice and helpful. Overall a great experience.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room for our family of 5, and the space could have accommodated more. The place was comfortable, and quiet. We especially enjoyed the sun room off the kitchen, and the walking trail directly adjacent to the house was a major plus. We didn't have to drive anywhere to get a nice hike in. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed staying at this home! It was super cozy and was in a nicely secluded area. So many positives about this house! We had no problems during our stay and everything worked as it should. Only 2 negatives, which weren’t really a big deal, were that the master bedroom sheets had a stain and holes in them and area outside with the hot tub could definitely use more lightly, especially since it’s so close to the forest. Again, these weren’t a big deal for us at all, but maybe something management should consider taking care of to improve guest stay.

This house was exactly as listed; the pictures accurately show everything. We only stayed 2 nights so didn't have time to fully utilize all the amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the large deck and since there were no bugs during our stay, we barely used the beautiful screened porch. Only 2 or 3 of our group used the hot tub (and found it delightful) and we didn't have time to use the fire pit (though there was plenty of wood stacked under the deck if we had wanted to). Of course the bedrooms and kitchen and family room and billiards room were all nice (again, exactly as pictured) so let that suffice. And check in was a breeze. The keys were in a little box by the front door which opened on the 1st try with the combination provided. Basically, everything was perfect and our group of 8 golfers would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The kitchen and living room were both comfortable places for my family to hang out. Everyone’s favorite room was the three seasons room! Wonderfully furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay in Talisman Lodge. The few issues included the upstairs room couldn't cool down, grill needed clean, and poor mattress in full bed downstairs. We loved the rooms in the house and maintenance was wonderful and staff at the Galena territory. There was a lot of thistles and weeds around the property, and with being a master gardener it was a little bothersome. However, I would recommend the place. Overall, we had a great stay.

Our ages ranged from 65 years to 20 months old. The 10 of us plus one large dog had our own space on each floor. The kitchen had all the basic necessities for cooking and preparing meals. The screened in porch was a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee. The extremely hot weather didn’t allow for us to enjoy the deck and outdoors but the club house pool was great. Management help was excellent!

Rental experience good overall. House was very cold when first entering. Area rug needs taped down or removed. Grandmother almost fell on corner that was turned up. Towel wrack in basement was duck taped on wall. These two things need to be fixed.

A reunion of High School girlfriends is always special but this was the best house we’ve rented and we’ve been renting houses for our reunion for more than 20 years. Fortunately, we could all fit on the screened in porch because we were out there most of the time. In a word; lovely!

This home is a gem and we will be back next year! It is pet-friendly and not at all the type of home typically offered to pet families (usually below grade condition and cleanliness)!
