Timber Ridge

Our time at TimberRidge was everything we needed it to be. We stayed there (family of 5) with friends of ours (family of 6) and the space worked perfectly for us. There was plenty of space/bed to accommodate our 7 children and 4 adults. The living room was a favorite hangout and we loved the reclining sofas/chairs. We especially appreciated having a table large enough for us all to eat together and the lazy Susans were such a helpful touch! The kitchen was well stocked and we had what we needed in order to cook for our crowd.

Our only complaint was the amount of dust around the home. As someone who grew up in a remote.rural place I know it is a never ending battle, but it was very noticeable in some areas (not enough to make the trip unbearable). We have stayed in other homes in the Territories and this home was the first one that ticked all the boxes for our large troop! Thank you for a wonderful stay--we will certainly return!

The facility was fantastic for our group of 4 couples. Very clean and comfortable. Only complaint was that the NFL games on Sunday were broadcast in SD instead of HD via the Dish Network but we endured! Great location with the General Golf/Store & Highlands Restaurant/lounge! Thank you for a terrific long weekend!

Our family of 8 adults and 4 kids had a great time for our belated Christmas get-together. The property is spacious, well-appointed, family-friendly, and very clean. The cold weather kept us from enjoying the outdoors, but there was plenty to keep everybody occupied with table games, the game room, exploring the nooks and crannies of the house, and family time around the huge dining room table or a cozy fire in the family room. The staff was responsive to our needs and very pleasant to deal with.
This is by far the best vacation home we have stayed in and we highly recommend it!

AMAZING House! Loved every minute.

This was the perfect place for a family of 12 to enjoy the area of Galena. The various rooms allowed for family to find a place for their own needs as well as the living room that allowed for all of us to gather together. The game room and toy area under the stairs was a hit with the children along with the movie theatre. The screened in porch was a perfect place to begin the morning with the sunrise. The owners have made this place feel like home and we appreciate them opening it up for rental for us to enjoy.

Property was just as described! Very clean. Well maintained. We loved the screened porch and deck. Bedrooms and baths were excellent. Game room was a big plus. Location was great. Quite but not too far out. Very close to Galena and Elizabeth. We loved the decorating and all the history. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time visiting Galena with our close family friends. The house was great for our two families with young kids. The kids really enjoyed the bunk room and kids play area under the stairs. All of us enjoyed the hot tub and theater room with access to Disney+. The many rooms allow3ed us all to have our own space while still being able to enjoy each other's company.
Access to the Galena Territory Owner's Club is a great perk - we went swimming almost every day! The historic downtown isn't too far away, so we were also able able to enjoy everything downtown Galena has to offer! The rental company was very responsive when we had questions.
On our last day, we headed to Mississippi Palisades State Park which had some amazing scenic views of the Mississippi River and some nice hiking trails.
Overall, we would highly recommend a stay in Galena and Timber Ridge - especially groups of families (we could easily have fit another family along with the two of ours).

We had such a great experience at Timber Ridge. We came with a group of ten to celebrate a 50th anniversary. From 2-72, everyone had a blast! The pictures had looked great but we were still blown away by more. The decor is so fun; everywhere you look you see something new. Lots of great touches throughout the house. All the beds had mattress toppers and everyone said how comfortable they were. We brought two young children along and were looking forward to the little playroom we had seen pictures of. It did not disappoint!! But we had no idea there was a fully kitted out nursery, too!! From children’s dishware to toys to high chairs and multiple sleeping options, this place is a dream to travel with little ones. Even gates for the stairs that can just be pulled across as needed! We loved it all. Had fun outside exploring the paths a bit, picked some of the wild berries, had a couple of bonfires. The hot tub was fabulous. Game room is great although five days flew by and we just didn’t even have enough time to enjoy everything. We were also really happily surprised with how fabulous the owners club is. It is huge, just a five minute drive, and there is a ton to do there. Gym, three pools, game room, snack bar, indoor basketball court. All week we kept saying that this would be a place that teenagers could really have a good time, too.
In short, this place is fabulous and we would love to come back!!! Thanks for sharing your hard work with us!

Property description was accurate; home was spacious, comfortable for a large group. This was our second stay and we may come again. Only two concerns - in order to keep folks from overheating on the third level, bedrooms on the first level were very cold; and screens on porch had a few holes so we had wasp visitors.

This home was the perfect place to spend the long Easter Weekend with our family, ages 2 to 67!

Fantastic home with huge amount of space! Excellent for children with playroom, game building, home theater, children's bunkhouse room and hot tub! Also special master bedroom with all equipment needed for mom and baby: crib, changing station, rocking chair, two pack n plays etc!

Beautiful house in Galena with log like interior

Three families and three generations loved our three days in the wooded acres of daily fresh snow. House was enjoyed by all and all would like to return! The game room, hot tub, dining room and great room were huge hits! Just perfect sums it up!!!

Our group (The Posse) always enjoy our time at Timber Ridge. We love the new furniture in the living room, very comfy! It's so peaceful & relaxing. We'll be back next year.

We were lucky with perfect fall weather last weekend and the perfect property to enjoy it. The new family room furniture and outdoor deck furniture were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. The game room and movie room are favorites of my grandchildren:) We enjoyed hiking in the beautiful wooded areas, s'mores at the firepit, tennis games, and of course the quaintness of Galena.
I also appreciate how well stocked the kitchen and bathrooms are, but I would make a suggestion about perhaps replacing the cookie sheets in the bottom drawer of the stove.
This was our second visit and we will be back!!!

This vacation home was loved by all. This home seemed secluded but you are close to all the amenities.Kids loved the play room and bunkbeds. We all wished we got to use the home theater but there was so many other things to do.
May be planning another trip soon.

My entire family (8 adults plus 3 kids under 6) stayed here for a Memorial Day weekend getaway and loved it! The location was beautiful and the house was well-stocked and well-maintained. We enjoyed a combination of downtown attractions and stay-at-home relaxing. Highly recommend - we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We are a returning family of 11! We love it here and the new game room was a big hit! There’s plenty of space and had traditional egg hunt. We enjoyed the dining room for family suppers and the living room with new reclining furniture was enjoyed by all, if weather would have been warmer we would have enjoyed the deck! Only problem half of grill worked.

We had another wonderful stay at Timber Ridge! Everything was perfect. It’s becoming a tradition and we hope to see you next year!

The only reason we went with timber ridge was for the hot tub. The hot tub was broken. Spent extra money to go to a hotel down the road to use there’s. House was clean. Outside was unkept. Maybe because of coming out of winter. Decks littered with twigs and broken deck boards throughout. Furniture in living room should be replaced.

The house was amazing and located in the most beautiful scenery! When we first arrived we explored the house; we kept saying “wow”, every detail was beautiful! The house was very clean, comfortable and so well stocked. I had brought with us so many kitchen items because we are used to not finding things in vacation rentals - I didn’t have to unpack any of mine; it was all in the house. The kids had such a blast in the play area and our baby was well cared for with all the misery items available.

The owners of this house do it the way we would do it. They found the perfect blend of making us feel like we were staying in their home while giving us all the freedom to make it our home while we were there. Everything was in great condition. They have a lot of outdoor areas to use too, but we didn't get to use those because we were there in December. Definitely would go back with our large family of 12.

We love the Timber Ridge Home. It is perfect for our group. The first floor master suite was just what we needed. We have been friends for over fifty years and we have a couple of ladies with mobility issues. We started with dinner at the Log Cabin. We cook and laugh and talk, and have plentiful cocktails. We have a spa day and a shopping day. We binge watched Bridgerton this year. We enjoy reading about the owners journey in creating this lovely home. Glad they chose to share it. This is our third girls trip to Galena. We will be back in 2022!

Overall, we had a great time at Timber Ridge. There was plenty of room for each family group to have their own floor, plenty of bathrooms as well. The bunk room was nice and dark so our nappers had long afternoon naps. We enjoyed the large table for family dining; the dishwasher was a necessity! We hiked, used the hot tub(that area could use a little sweeping/power washing), deck has been reinforced from original rails so no babes could fall out! My only complaint would be that the kitchen “stuff “ needs organizing and (in the case of the pots and pans), replacement. Anything non-stick was really scratched. Oh, and the cleaning crew needs to address the vents and table fans in the bedrooms and bathrooms-they are pretty dusty. Having owned a house in the territory for 15years, we understand the problems of having a house in the woods but that’s why you go to the woods! So all in all, a great way to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our family. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

We stayed at Timber Ridge with another family and had plenty of space for everyone. What a unique property! We loved the view of the valley through the trees from the back deck. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean. The kids loved the game room. We would love to make Timber Ridge an annual tradition for our families.

Some of my friends and I stayed at this place for a little weekend getaway. Because of COVID we did not get to enjoy all that Galena has to offer but had plenty to do on the property, even at the beginning of February! We brought some of our own snowshoes to travel the trails and had an amazing time winding down in the hot tub. The large dining table was a perfect place to eat, have conversation and play games! I would definitely recommend this place to any large group planning a trip to Galena!

We have stayed as a family many times in Galena. This is the greatest house we have been in. Something for every age. Treated my mom, kids and their spouses and grandkids. Went sledding, watched movies in the theatre room and 4 little played for hours in the little general store.Had sleet and snow during the night. We were plowed out and had our walk shoveled before we even woke up. Had a phone call and text regarding late check out. Both very pleasant and were able to accommodate us. Already planning on another stay there.

This was a wonderful vacation - and it all started with this wonderful home. Honestly; clean, cute, well stocked, plenty of room, did I mention so well appointed?? The grounds are spectacular. Just beautiful. Very responsive staff. Just couldn't be better. Simply loved it. Re-booking soon.......~!!

2020 has been a crazy year! Finding this wonderful rental property which was fairly close to our hometown was the perfect spot for a “safe” family get away! The grandkids LOVED the “Sapling” play area and media room! We had tons of fun playing the many board games! The rental is beautiful and was equipped with everything we needed! It truly is a “ one of a kind home”!

The home is absolutely beautiful. Massive rooms, seating for the whole family. We played family games in the family room, sat out on the deck, cooked dinners on the bbq (which was immaculate). During these Covid times, we needed a place that could House our whole family not just for sleeping but also for dinners. It has a huge table that sat every one of us and still had plenty of room. Highly recommend you give it a try. A+ rating from our family.

Our family loved your home! The large dinning table was fantastic! And enjoyed the toddler items were very useful for the youngest! We have three girls, ages 7-8and 9, they loved aging school at the antique school desk! We will be back!

We rented this house for our family to stay for our son's wedding. The rental process was streamlined and easy. The house was well furnished and well maintained. It easily accommodated 10 adults and 2 children. We will definitely stay again in the future.

We had our families reunion and Christmas in July at Timber Ridge. It’s a beautifully decorated with antiques from the surrounding area. It has every kitchen supply needed to put on a holiday dinner. The outdoors are great for a peaceful walk or if you want make s’mores around the outdoor fire pit. I recommend this home as a home away from home.

We had an amazing time at this property. There were so many things for our kids (and us!) to enjoy about this space. The kids had their own spaces to play, they loved the media room, the bunk beds were awesome and super comfy and there were oodles of board games in the dining room cabinets. The adults loved the hot tub, the fireplace, the breath-taking views and the fact that it was quiet. Also, despite the immense square footage of this home, it was spotless—I didn’t find as much as a cobweb. Very clean! The kitchen is stocked with any gadget you could need and they were kind enough to provide a grill as well! I would recommend this property to anyone needing a getaway. Thank you so much!!!

We LOVED this rental. We had multiple families stay comfortably with ski gear for the weekend. Can't wait to stay here again.

What a delightful home away from home! We found the house to be well appointed and thoroughly equipped for a long holiday weekend, especially the kitchen. The bunk room and theater were highlights. We enjoyed grilling, making s'mores in the fire ring, relaxing in the hot tub and hiking on the grounds. We had memorable meals around the oversized dining room table, inviting us to linger and enjoy the company of others. Many new family memories were made there. We would recommend this site and the management service without hesitation. .

I surprised my husband for his 60th birthday. Almost all Of our kids and grandchildren were able to make it to surprise him. This house is a home and exceeded my expectations! The decor is lovely and warm. Our grandchildren range in age from 15 to 18 months. This home checked all the boxes for every age group! Being able to enjoy the other amenities is also a plus. The kids loved the pool at the club house. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

The vacation home was very cozy and inviting. The wooded rooms made was feel like we were in a log cabin. The large wood dining room was fantastic, along with the numerous games in the cabinets. And the screened in porch is where we started and ended our days. Bedrooms on 3 levels of the house, gave privacy to all...and the new bunk beds were also a plus. Media room was great, hot tub was a plus , kitchen was fully stocks with anything you may need. A great vacation retreat house.

Recently stayed with my extended family of 8 adults and 4 kids (ages 8 months-9 years). The property was perfect and large enough for us all to be together at times and break off in smaller groups when needed. Next time we are back in Galena we will look to rent this same property.

This was a great spot to gather with our family!! The house is a beautifully done-and very inviting!

Great experience and perfect space for 12 girls for a girls weekend. Only downside was not having garbage bins outside. Had no where to put garbage before checkout without racoons getting in. It's a 10 min drive to toss trash so was a bit cumbersome. It seems that's typical for most houses in the territory to dispose of their trash in the compactor. But bins would've been ideal in the meantime. Otherwise the house and property were great and made for a lovely weekend!

We were trying to find a midway point to have a family vacation. There would be 5 adults and 7 kids. This place was absolutely perfect!!! Plenty of space for everyone to sleep at night. Deck/porch space to relax outside. Grass areas for playing ball. PLUS.....The guest passes to the Galena Territory Club were a huge bonus. The kids loved swimming in the pool, playing in the rec room and putting their tennis skills to the test. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future and I plan to let everyone I know who is going to Galena in on this gem.

The house is tucked away in a forest. It's very private and beautiful. All of the beds were amazing! We went with a group of 11 girls and there was plenty of room for everyone, especially for bathrooms. We would call the rental company for questions anytime and they were always friendly and prompt to give a response. Amazing to work with and would stay here again!

Great weekend stay for a small group of friends. Hot tub was a great bonus, just note that it's hard to get to from the outside gate, and requires going through a bedroom otherwise. Great location and fun knickknacks inside.

This property was amazing! Perfect setting for family to unwind and create family memories. The wooded setting was great for kids to enjoy and explore nature.
The home was warm and inviting, clean and lots of natural sunlight. The layout of this home was perfect for family to spend time together and the additional amenities (Little saplings play area, changing table, pack and play and child cot) for the kids were a huge plus!
The rustic decor in each room was so unique. Dining room table was a work of art!! Each day we found another unique touch that we had not seen the day before. The bedrooms were generous size and laid out on each floor so plenty of choices to let family choose the one that was best for them.

Can not say enough positive things about our stay at this property. Abby and team were awesome to work for the rental process and our family will highly recommend and come again and again for family get ways.

My family's stay at Basswood was excellent. There was plenty of space for my family, and a very neat play area for young children. The decor was very neat, and interesting to look at. The hottub is an added bonus along with access to the Owner's clubhouse which also has very nice facilities for all ages.
